In general when you have Turner Syndrome you are healthy but it is very important that you have regular checkups for life to keep well.
You need to see a doctor who knows about TS at least once/twice a year for a check up or more if you are younger or have particular health problems or are planning to have a pregnancy.
Some particular conditions that need looking out for are shown.
Thinking about your hearing is part of general health checks. When you were younger you may have had problem with repeat ear infections which are common in TS. When you become an adult you may lose some hearing earlier than other people because the nerves become damaged. Sometimes clinics check hearing routinely, if they don’t and you (or other people) think your hearing is not as good as it should be and you are missing out at school, college, uni, work or socially ask for a test called an audiogram.
